Thank you for your work! Thank you for standing up for women and providing such critical care for all these years!! THANK YOU for writing this letter. I stand with you!! ✊🏼✊🏼💗
Thank you for posting this! I work in the movement and was so extremely frustrated about this article. I don't think a less helpful piece could've been written. PP is such an important resource that we cannot afford to lose in this moment.
How about hearing from actual PP patients ? Beyond Press Gainey surveys; the people who are on the receiving end; who appreciate the effort and are just so grateful to get any amount of care at the end of the day.
thank you for writing/sharing this important article! I remember getting birth control from Planned Parenthood when I was in college in the 90’s and had no health insurance.
I grew up with no health insurance, with very infrequent visits to the doctor, basically only the ER for accidents and to get immunizations for school.
I remember being so surprised that PP was free for the visit and maybe some minimal cost for the pills.
this is reminding me to give back into donate more to Plant Parenthood. I encourage others to do the same. Resistance though conscious spending, through reminding each other how strong we are, calling upon our ancestors, our grandmothers, through seeing how far we’ve come. we’re not about to let our daughters down. ❤️👊 💃
Planned Parenthood is a treasure. If there had been one in Vermont in 1965, and if abortion had been legal then, I could quickly have terminated a pregnancy that had been imposed on me by "stealthing."
Instead, I had to travel thousands of miles from college to "home," desperately searching for help, only to have my father open mail from a high school friend, realize I was pregnant, and spend a week terrorizing me, beating me, trying to rape me, and setting a dog on me. My mother could not protect me from him, having died 6 weeks earlier.
Finally, when I told him the embryo's "father" was Black, my Mississippi-born father asked a doctor to give me an abortion... I suspect the doctor had helped him several times in the past, since my pedophile father was also constantly seeking sex from girlfriends as well as from his 3rd wife, who'd been one of his mistresses while my mother was pregnant with me.
Solidarity with Planned Parenthood workers! ✊💕✨
